Bill tells how we met:

On December 26, 2007, I met Diane at Mason's bowling alley in Leominster, where I bowled in a league.  After a year of being a widower, Angela asked Anise to bring a friend for me to meet. It was love at first sight. Angela happened to be absent that night, so I asked Diane to bowl for her on my team. We chit chatted all the time. After the game, we went to the Singapore restaurant with Rose and Roger, Which happens to be her ex-in-laws. I didn't even get her phone number, but I was determined to see her again.

A couple days later I sent her flowers at work with my Christmas card, so she could know me better. When she called to thank me, I was just walking out the door taking Angela to get her wisdom teeth out and missed her call.

Our first date was on New Years Eve. We went out to eat at Barber's crossing with the Gilmours, then came back to my house and watched a Jeff Dunham DVD with the kids. It was a great family night, and Diane was the life of the party.

On July 25, 2008, in the gazebo at Zukas in Spencer MA, at Gina and Ryan Cote's wedding, I asked Diane to marry me. She said yes.
